The winged hussars
Known by their unremarkable armor and distinct courage and military tactics, the winged hussars had their acme, or prime, in the 1600's. They used to wear feathered wings attached to their backs and their horses, during their run, the feathers produced a vibrating sound that caused fear to their enemies and, according to some historians, it also had another purpose: avoid from being take down from the horse by the enemies. The winged hussars were categorized as a light cavalry useful against archers and heavy infantry. Later in the 1600's they were transformed into a heavy cavalry shock troop. They also carried a hollowed lance, a sabre, shield and two pistols. They can be compared to the later european knights, who were also from the same class and known by their strength.
